Frequently asked questions

How many competitors should I analyze for backlink opportunities?

Analyzing 3-5 competitors provides a broad set of opportunities without overwhelming results. Focus on your closest organic search competitors rather than the largest brands in your space, as their link sources are more likely to be replicable.

Can I filter competitor backlinks by domain authority?

Yes. Set minimum authority thresholds to focus on high-quality link opportunities. The skill also ranks opportunities by a combined score of authority, relevance, and estimated replicability.

What is a replicable backlink?

A replicable backlink comes from a source that is accessible to any qualified business: directories, resource pages, industry associations, and publications that accept guest contributions. Editorial mentions from news coverage are less replicable but can be pursued through similar PR strategies.

How does this differ from the Link Intersection Finder?

The Competitor Backlink Finder shows all link sources of your competitors. The Link Intersection Finder specifically identifies domains that link to two or more competitors but not to you, which are the highest-probability opportunities since they already link to multiple sites in your niche.
